This short video demonstrates how faith is impervious to facts.

The contributers are honest about their beliefs but so badly deceived about reality it is quite depressing. Spot the canards - some of them are jaw-dropping.

Pastor Peter LaRuffa exudes, "If somewhere within the Bible, I were to find a passage that said two plus two equals five, I wouldn't question what I'm reading in the Bible. I would believe it, accept it as true, and then do my best to work it out and understand it."

Love the fat guy telling us that "God made us in his Image". So God is a doubled chinned, red cheeked slob verging on a heart attack.

I'm looking forward to asking believers/JWs questions regarding your 2004 Tsunami thread, Cofty, whenever they come with their spiel on god, the bible and science. I've been keeping a low profile but family and friends won't leave me alone.

You know, if they just had their faith and didn't bother us with it, didn't try to get it preached in schools, didn't try to change laws because of it, were not bigoted and treated those who do not share their beliefs with respect, I'd be perfectly happy to keep my atheism to myself. But they don't. Every day I have to hear it on TV, the street, the bus: how god is great and how I need him and I'm instantly reminded of 2004 tsunami, to begin with.

It's 2014 and I won't have it anymore. I want a world where the pastors in that video have no credibility at all, where they can't teach their garbage to our children, where everyone has access to science, and philosophy, and freedom of speech and freedom of thought.

Fear of life without God is the theme throughout this video.

    No Go= no prayer=no reward=no resurrection.

"Try God" says the woman at the end. She poses it as a choice.

    Believe God into existence?

Have they known a person to beg for God's mercy and receive no mercy when they "try"? (husband's complaint for himself during the time that I had God for me)

    "TRY GOD"?

It hurts to discover that something is lost in translation. That the only god available to many is a very, very trying one. So trying as to be, well, as good as gone.

Sometimes faith can be fear based--fear, not of hell, but of God not being there.

Ricky Gervais posted this today on his facebook page. Very entertaining.

"I think sometimes our culture has, like a.....overly heavy reliance on, like... science."

Wise words. Let's get back to the dark ages.

Oh, God, I saw this video earlier today. It is unbelievable; but hilarious too!

Did you notice the super-comment made in 2:20? "I would love to encourage Mr. Darwin to try God"!!! Does she really think he is a living person? Everything is possible with those poor fellas.

It's very hard to resist the temptation of being IQ-racist when dealing with that group of people.

Oh my, it's sad how misinformed they are about the world around them.

I did find it interesting that they mention Christianity being under attack, I was reading something today about Christians pining for the good old days. After so many years of special priviledge, it must be terrible for them to realize they are going to get the same treatment as everyone else.

So much fun feeling superior to believers and making fun of people.

And then there are the well educated scientists who actually contribute

something to this planet, who strangely have a respectful belief in some

higher intelligence, but they haven't met you geniuses, who I'm sure could

insult them down to your size.

    .

So I'm assuming you also believe that dinosaurs were vegetarians until after sin, correct?

    .

really, how can you not at least snicker at someone who's so dead sure their beliefs are true, when that same person is so hopelessly ignorant they believe Darwin is still alive?
