Did you know that the WTS forbid the use of salutations in correspondence to DF/DA persons?
Letters customarily begin with 'Dear so-and-so' and end with 'Yours faithfully' or 'Yours sincerely' etc, but these terms are not to be used in any correspondence to a person who is a known DF/DA.
Instead letters from the WTS commence with the expression 'Mr so-and-so' omitting the 'Dear' and substituting 'Mr' or 'Mrs' for 'Brother' or 'Sister'. Society letters which usually conclude with something like 'Yours in Jehovah's service, Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses', end with simply 'Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses'.
Should a Witness have valid cause to write to a DF/DA person, they are to adopt the same procedure. This is not universally known amongst the R&F but is, nonetheless, standard practice.
Cheers, Ozzie

Another Pharisaical "rule".... wonder if a person who breaks the rule will have to flog self or risk being publicly reproved for actually daring to use normal business salutations/closings for a df'd one!
There goes that other bible rule ..... treat him as a man of the nations. I guess the bible rule doesn't count, the society rule supercedes it.
