    Bump!

    There I said it!!

BTTT....said that too now. Woo hoo no stopping me.

TBH. The 'ministry(tm)' they use is ineffective.

No TV or radio.....they know they'd get called out and trashed to infinity.

God's Earthly Organization/WT Corporation, is full of blunders and a huge valuable time waster. 100 years of kingdom rule and all there is to show for it is a bunch of magazines, some books, and disfellowshipping of doubters.

Not very impressive, I guess when God's Kingdom finally does take over the world we can expect a similar outcome, more books, some crummy tracts, and a restoration of God's name with the correct pronunciation spoken by the king of this kingdom itself, as far as anything really practical well that is another story, as told by the spin doctors called the Governing Body.

When I see pictures of them with their carts, I laugh to myself thinking how I did something similar back in the 1980's. I was really being groomed as an elder because I was such a "spiritual" man, but I wasn't getting my 10 hours a month. I really hated field service, so but for the few hours I got door to door, I would go into the business area in the morning when I wasn't working and walk up and down the few blocks there while holding the WT and Awake in my hands to get to the magic number 10 (hours). It was the same as those with the carts today......easy time to count and not a single person approached to talk!

And we KNEW that we weren't doing WORKS to gain salvation. Yeah....right!

So happy I am no longer a part of it. Almost 15 years now.

Phizzy: What a far cry from the days when we were proper Street Preachers ! I have had discussions on the street with all sorts of people, from the most ordinary to high ranking Clergy, even pressing the MagRags on them, also playing Bible ping-pong with them as we sparred over the Trinity etc.

Yes, it is so different. I remember sparring over the Trinity and other docrines. Witnesses are lame now.

Phizzy: I look back with shame at how ignorant I really was about what the Bible really says, but we were without doubt of much higher calibre as Evangelisers than they are today.

As I look back, I realize how ignorant I was, too, however, I agree with you; JWs of today wouldn't stand a chance against us.

Phizzy: That Trolley "work" is frankly pathetic , and simply a way of keeping Dubs busy, and not getting discouraged, as H to H is mainly knocking on doors that will never be opened.f

    Yep!

I saw that at a buss stop downtown and I could not believe my eyes.

ALL I REMEMBER growing up in the trrof was how we CAN NOT just stand there like a sign board how we are to approach and engage people SMDH

I've seen them setup at various places in the city. Accomplishing nothing.

The last time I saw them, they were parked between an assortment of other bible-thumpers with signs. Meanwhile, a couple of vans drove down the street with loudspeakers talking about Jeez-us.

They silently blend into the cacophony of crazies.

I got off the plane locally and boom.....there in baggage claim was a table with 3 people. Yep.....just what the busy traveler feels like doing when they arrive home.....stopping and chatting about religion to strangers with vague themes in front of them. Yep......good stuff.

Yeah, hookers....for a different purpose and a different "price" but still street workers

    hook

Same work style, better payment and I guess a better sucess ratio too. Only JW do it for the greatest Pimp in the Universe and don't get laid. Bad business, bad business.

    BluePill2:

Actually, I have more respect for the workers you portray than for dubs-on-a-misssion.

    There are no false promises.

What is offered is delivered (almost) there and then - no waiting for an indeterminate sometime/never.

What you see is what you get.

You only pay once - no lifetime commitment.

They don't want to control your thoughts.

You don't have to commit to a certain number of hours a month.

Your money may actually be helping someone.

You are less likely to feel bored during the 'meeting'.
