Possibly a great question to ask JW's since this last week's WT.

So since the type anti-type doctrine has been dropped 'does this mean Peter was right when at luke 12 :41 he said the faithful and discreet slave was just a parable?' -

Brilliantly simple. And you're quoting the bible. Argue against that! -

This could go a couple of ways:
- A. YES, Peter was right = No FDS
- B. NO, Peter was NOT right = No religion at all
- C. I Don't Know if Peter was Right or Wrong = Cult Member that can't think for themselves
-
I'm guessing you'll get choice "C" 99.9% of the times with most JWs.
Let's review: It's a cult!
- A. YES, Peter was right = No FDS

Who said that we don't have the most intelligent biblical minds here,
and we don't go to four or five meeting a week to understand the Bible. LOL
Good point Crazyguy!!

Thanks to Perry, he keeps our minds sharp. -

If you carefully read that WT, you are told how you will know if a parable has prophetic meaning.

I think this is a bad move on the part of the GB. I think the majority of JWs don't give a rat's behind about types/anti-types. If they just stopped talking about it most people wouldn't know the difference. By reversing the previous teaching they are making people wonder why they ever taught something else in the first place. I wonder if it's just ego on the part of the GB, they can put something in the Watchtower and millions of people will immediately believe it, how important that must make them feel them feel.
I hope they keep this up, they are making it so much easier for people to see that they are being led by idiots.

It was Peter, not Jesus, who said that it was a Parabole. Jesus meant it as a prophesy. Thats what the WT says. - a faithful JW.

- I am guessing you mean parable, not parabole
