Dearest Ken:
:Your view of God, is just in your imagination as with all religions. If you chose to conjure up a God to suit your experiences that is fine with me. If a real God existed that was concerned with mankind and how we viewed him it would seem to me he would at least give some concrete evidence and guidence that could be proven to be from him.:
I believe that God has given us such concrete evidence and guidance, Ken. But do you think it is reasonable to expect God to force humans to accept the evidence and guidance he has given? Ken, your statement also presupposes that "proof" is the end-all and be-all. I am not denigrating proof, dear, but proof is a pluriform notion, dear Ken and it is limited. Keep that in mind.
:There are about as many religions within the Christain faith as there are outside it. Which group has the real truth or do you just create your own? God's holy spirit I was lead to believe was directing his followers yet the religions that claim his guidence all change their doctrines, even the bible from the old days to the more recent one of Christ teachings. Does God keep changing his mind?:
God does not change his mind in the way you indicate, sir. But this mystic thinks we get ahead of ourselves if we ask who has the truth. We must first establish a touchstone for the truth. We must answer the question, what is truth? We must also establish that there is a God. What is he, if he exists, like? This ol' lady thinks it is ludicrous to imagine a God who neither communicates with his creatures nor allows them to "perceive" him. I know all of what I have just said is a tall order, Ken. But I urge you to pray, read and study the Bible and related publications. Ironically a number of the best theistic arguments have come from the non-Witness camp. Argument in the long run proves nothing though. But methinks that arguments can make one think. Who knows where you might end up?
I wish you the best on your spiritual journey. We must all take it. Even Joseph Campbell realized that.
