It is because men have too much balls and that is a good reason why they should not be leaders or elders in churches. Men have done too much crimes against humanity.

I want to see women priests occupy positions of power the same as men do. We are on the slow track. Vestries love to have a young female for color. When it comes to rector, they just happen to select mostly men.
It would be nice if this pope changed the male only rule. The former Anglican priests who switched to the Roman Catholic Church were welcomed, including their wives. I believe there are some married Eastern rite priests who follow Rome.
I see Baptist women on TV. Paul's letters contain reference to many women leaders in the churches he established. Mary Magdalene was always mentioned as a fundraiser and independent woman. I never noticed it was in the text to someone told me about it. To omit women from the priesthood is selective reading of the text.

Opposition to women priests is possibly the main thing that stopped me going eastern orthodox. Well, that and the silly hats.
Anyway... I can't imagine ever joining another religious community that thinks people like Jgnat have nothing/little to offer. Such a waste.
