incognito: At my last small conv i spoke to a young couple with little one (with stroller). They spoke of the BIG conv held in Sydney where with knots of chattering sisters blocking access ways and otherwise overloaded facilities they never got back to their accomodation until 8.30 pm. This with a little one run out of diapers food and overloaded with noise and stress.

"Never again' he said and she agreed.

sir82, while I agree with what you are saying, I know that while I was still going regularly (over 10 years ago), they were still asking for private homes for some conventions for those in need. And they were still selling parking tickets. I never bought one cause I thought it was garbage, and the facility used at that time had seating for 40,000, so it was so large it would not be possible for them to check for the parking tickets. What would they do about it anyway? I believe it was already in the contract that parking was paid included, cause if the venue knew they were collecting parking fees, they would want their cut!

But yes, they make business decisions the same as any other business, and there is nothing sinister about that.

But wastn´t the followers of Jesus supposed to give for free.? Wasn´t the followers of Jesus given away all their possesions to those who were in need?

Am I remembering correctly that the Society had a no handicapped policy at one of their assemblies a while back?
