There was a young brother who fell through a hole in the roof at an Assembly Hall construction, I wonder now if they at least paid for his funeral. What do you suppose the WT does in these cases?

Insurance companys pay. I remember back in the 80`s an elder tried to walk through a glass door at a C.A. that was held in a high school we rented .

I beleive he sued the school and the insurance covered all the costs .

Insurance would pay if the accident occured on rented property. However, on WTS-owned property, I don't know if there *is* an insurance company to deal with. Somehow I have thought that the society was 'self-insured'. And if that is the case, I wonder how generous they would be with a payout...?

The WTS is self-insured and functions under the state laws in the state they are incorporated. Congregations are self-insured through the WTS.

I don't understand why the need to rebuild the halls. Isn't "The New System" around the corner? When I was about 15 I didn't even understand why the renovated our perfectly stable 70s looking hall. The end was close them too. Hmmm Will these people ever wake up?

They probably wish to know the Title of the one concerned as a smart lawyer will prove that a Titled individual was working as an "Agent" of the WT and therfore the WT is totally liable.

The WT may be able to wriggle a bit with an Untitled volunteer.

Just my guess, but it is always just about the money.

Separation of powers: No mature christian would sue.

Some have no choice but to sue.

If you fall off a roof or have something happen that means you will never work again, let me tell you that the Kingdom Hallinsurance will come nowhere near enough to cover that financially.

I think the KHAA (Kingdom Hall Assistance Arrangement) pays something like £5000 if you lose an arm or leg, and less for things like eyes.

How else will you support your family if you don't get adequate compensation?
