This is a new stage for both of you... She may need to take some time and think through some of this before making a decision. There is no rush. Let her absorb what it would mean, fade vs DA and consequences thereof.

Yes, I can understand how it would be better all around to move away from the situation, especially if children are involved. The least chance of an uncomfortable encounter the better. I wish your family all the best.

Great news! Just keep in mind that if she means what she says, there's no need to make a rush decision on anything. That being said, it doesn't sound like it makes a difference in you guys' lives if you DA or are DFed.
But I would encourage your wife to hold her head high. She doesn't have to feel like she needs to be embarrassed that she's checking out of the religion. I understand the feeling of not wanting peoples' judging eyes on her, but I still think you should encourage her to be proud and to keep well in mind what her reasons are for leaving, so she can make a defense if someone puts her on the spot. Really, the feeling of an exiting JW should be righteous indignation, right? You have nothing to feel badly about if you know that you're leaving for good reasons (and I'm sure you are).
