In our own solar neighbourhood ,
We have a huge rotating system, moons, rings, gas-giant, that, like the nasa image of rings,-- above
is tilted ~90 degrees to the movement of everything else, the ecliptic. ----it is
Uranus and its 20+satellites and rings. but
not on the apparent, equal scale of the wheeling galaxie(s)
Kepler: and, as you cited, it could be two separated galaxies, but
it would not be unheard of, to have two celestial entities beautifully ECLIPS (super-impose) each other from our perspective, thinking about
our Solar eclipses, where Sun and Moon are seen as ~equal in size. but
here, they both have more aligned rotational axi.
