Our first visit from the Tooth Fairy.

My five year old son has had four loose teeth for several weeks now. One of them became very loose today and he couldn't leave it alone. My husband was planning on pulling it out this evening when Rhys suddenly realized it wasn't there anymore! He swallowed it with dinner! He was so excited about finally losing a tooth and then started to cry when he realized he had swallowed it. Poor guy. I told him all he needed to do was write a nice letter to the Tooth Fairy explaining he had accidentally swallowed the tooth but would try not to next time. It is precious. I can't wait to get the letter from his pillow and tuck it away.

I asked him how much he thought the Tooth Fairy leaves for teeth and he said $2.01. I don't know where the one cent came from. Must be inflation.

I never got a visit from the Tooth Fairy. I'm glad I get to be her though.

Lovely story - it makes me sad to think that one day your son will have to learn that you can't always write a letter and expect a rational response. But for now, let him and you enjoy!

Congratulations to you son! When my nephew lost his tooth before he could get it under the pillow this mother told him to draw a picture of it and put that under the pillow.
When I left the Borg last year one of the first things I did was design a tooth fairy pillow for my little grandsons. You can see it on my daughter-in-law's web site

My son grew up without all those things and I feel so bad about it. His two little boys will have all of it, and then some.

Princess that tooth will be showing up in the morning. In order for him to complete the transaction I'm afraid you'll have to dig for it. Don't worry, the tooth fairy will understand the delay

It's a good thing the Tooth Fairy is not associated with the WTS!!! Otherwise she would demand that you dig around in your son’s crap to retrieve the tooth before you could receive payment.

I told him where the tooth was going to end up. He was all for finding it. I told him we'll just try hard not to swallow the next one!

Target, I will check out the site. I was thinking something like that would come in handy. Great idea!

One wonders what the tooth fairy does with all these teeth. Me thinks she is in the denture business.

bboy, look for the movie Toothless with Kirstie Ally. It will show you everytihng you need to know about a bumbling Tooth Fairie.
