Prologos, over at jwtalk they had this discussion, and someone said that they called WT. Someone else posted this further down to topic. So expect the end to come anytime inbetween now and 2055.

    Group 1 - An (pre-1914) Passed at least 1992

    |------------------------------------------------------|

    Group 2 - 1914 |---------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------|--------------------------------|

    Anointed (An) between 1914 to 1991 2014 20XX

    Group 2 example: |-------------------------------------------------|--------------------------------|

    Bro. Sanderson - Born '65 (An After 75) 2014 2055 (age 90)

Just using those 2 with an overlap of 17 years (substantial) - the end could come anytime between 2014 and 2055.

note: I put Pre-1991 as there should be an overlap - not just one month, but at least a year - if not YEARS! Bro. Sanderson would overlap 17 years. I like him as an example.

So, active JWs are discussing this...that's excellent. I would guess a lot of them will be apsotates in a little while.

I heard this discussion 20 years ago. Some of my JW relatives told me that generation can last up to 200 years made of multiple biogenesis, but everyone will be a part of the same generation. So, they can teach 1914 generation well in 2114.

Dismissing servant, you are right. Wts claim to fame is based on their SPECIAL Understanding, and it does not have a leg to stand on.

so with all other factors, exposing their doctrinal delusion, should shake looking lurkers.

The length of the generation was not my point, we will get to that.

Pretty soon it's going to have to come back to something like this:

"New light: After careful and prayerful consideration of the scriptures, it has become evident that an adjustment is needed in our understanding of Jesus' words pertaining to the conclusion of the system of things. Jesus predicted great tribulation of unprecedented proportions. (Matthew 24:21) Historians have noted that the year 1914 was a pivotal one in world history, ushering in an age of unprecedented woe. Notably, at 2 Timothy 3:1, the apostle Paul referred to the time of the last days, which began in 1914, as being "critical times hard to deal with". The fact that the last days are characterized as being critical and hard to deal with certainly alludes to it being of an unprecedented nature. Does this not harmonize with Jesus' description of the great tribulation being of an unprecedented nature? Mankind is definitely at a critical juncture in its history. Never before has the survival of earth's population been in danger from such cataclysmic dangers as nuclear weapons and climate change. Unless the present system of things is cut short no flesh would survive. (compare Matthew 24:22) We therefore understand that 1914 saw the start of Jesus' foretold great tribulation. The great tribulation is, in fact, the critical times hard to deal with that characterizes the last days of this dying system. [yadda yadda yadda]"
