OKAY I AM BACK and ready to start answering queries!

Question #1: what's your favourite artwork?

My favorite painting of all time is The Wounded Foot by

    Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida

    http://www.sorollapaintings.com/

His work just knocks me dead! Incidentally, photos of paintings are NOTHING but a LIE. You must must must see the actual

painting standing in front of it and with full attention or you will never understand what the image really is.

I also love the watercolors of Maurice Prendergast

Question #2 How come you're so smart?

The only different about me I can say for sure is that I am deeply interested in a great many things and I try

to read BOTH sides of any subject.

I use to have an almost perfect memory (long deteriorated!)

I learned thousands of vocabulary words when I was a teen and that helped me immeasurably in reading difficult books.

    But---SMART? Mnnnnnhhh---I don't think so.

    Articulate, maybe.

Question #3: If God can do any thing, can he make a stone he can't move?

Actually, the question is a kind of antimony. The premise is flawed by a false presupposition "can do anything."

It is "impossible" for God to lie. That illustrates my point.

Well, Terry, excuse me. Where are the answers to my questions? Fooling.

    Question #4

Hows retirement going for you ?

Family doing well I assume ?

I like retirement but hate being broke all the time :)

My family seems to be doing just fine. Thanks for asking.

Incidentally, being "free" to do whatever you want is a mixed bag of blessing/curse.

    Why?

If you HAVE to go to work and it is a beautiful day you might have a deep longing to be free to play hooky and experience the great weather.

    However . . .

If everyday is equally free to you--it is much easier to view a beautiful day as rather ordinary.

    Why?

You've not invested any effort in overcoming an obstacle to enjoying it.

Moral of the story? Things are worth only what you "pay" for them.

Question #5: Have you ever been to Wisconsin?

I have not, but I love cheese.

I was born in Detroit. I've been to Ohio, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida, Oklahoma, Nebraska, New Mexico, Arizona,

Utah, Nevada, Mexico, California, Texas (I live in Ft.Worth) Kansas, Idaho, Wyoming. Never traveled that much, unfortunately.

My favorite place? Carmel-by-the-Sea in Monterrey. I'd love to live there.

Question #6: Ok. Do you think Princess Diana was assassinated??

I think theories are the result of retrofitting convenient "clues" into wild scenarios to make them fit.

Most conspiracies ask more questions than they provide answers. It is the fallacy of "the argument from ignorance."

Conspiracy nuts came up with everybody under the sun as killers of J.F. K.

Among them: Castro, LBJ, H.L. Hunt, F.B.I., C.I.A., Mafia, K.G.B, etc. In other words, anybody by Lee Harvey Oswald.

    Do you like sports?

    Question #7: Pelé or Maradona?

Sorry. I'm not a sports kind of guy, so I've only ever HEARD of Pele'.

Now, if you asked me "Paper or plastic" I could give an answer based on at least SOMETHING!

p.s. the only "sport" I really have an interest in is Boxing and only from the 40's through Tyson.

Actu ally, the question is a kind of antimony.

    LOL.

You did the exact thing 7 years ago.

    Antinomy is what you intended.

    Antimony - element

    Antinomy - mutually exclusive

    Love and blessings.
