Why that narrator are trying to copy the Sagan's cosmological accent? What a fail! Just woo woo.
The mind does not need to be explained through quantum physics.
The brain it's not a suitable advice to perform any quantum computing.
The mind probably is under classical computing on a biological substrate, just neurons firing on and off.
The conscious mind/self it's seriously doubted to even exist, considering the more sophisticated forms os idealism (buddhism) and materialism (eliminative). Maybe the self it's just folk psychology as folk physics (flat earth, astrology) or folk biology (creationism).

I think quantum physics is fascinating. Will watch the video later.

Athene = Bachir "Chiren" Boumaaza (born June 9, 1980), widely referred to by his online pseudonym Athene, is a Belgian YouTube personality and social activist. As of June 2013, Boumaaza's YouTube channel, "AtheneWins," has over 715,000 subscribers and has accumulated over 426,402,135 views. Boumaaza has been featured on the Wall Street Journal , CNN, Fox News , CNBC and Bloomberg Television.
In 2011, Boumaaza released a full length documentary called "Athene's Theory of Everything" on the subject of conscious experience and perception. Although the work was not peer reviewed and neither scientifically nor philosophically rigorous, Boumaaza and his crew claimed that the work could have implications for science and metaphysics, and that many of its conclusions were supported by evidence in the field of neuroscience. - [Emphasis added]

Just thought I would help with the bit you should have emphasised!

Caedes, good point!

As a general rule I ignore any thread or post that contains the word quantum. It has become the most abused word in the English language.

Sorry Cofty. What advanced physics classes are you now teaching at Princeton University ?

Villiagegirl - Is there anything in my comment that even remotely suggests I know anything about quantum physics?
I wish I had £1- for every time somebody has used the word quantum in connection with claims that amount to utter bullshit.
Just a couple of days ago somebody on the forum claimed that "quantum physics proves that things don't exist unless we observe them".
I never watch videos if the OP can't be bothered to write a single word about why they think it is interesting. Why don't you watch it VG and tell us what its about and whether it is credible?
