A asked a medical question last week about my hip. Many thanks to those who replied and asked to keep them updated.

Just to let you guys know it was just Trochanteric Bursitis (hope I spelled it correctly!!) and I have anti inflammatory tablets to take for a month. If not successful, I'll need a cortisone injection.

    Needless to say, I'll live.

    Thanks again.

Sorry about your pain but glad it is not something more serious.

Don't underestimate chronic pain...cortisone shots are great though.

I took horsetail (a herb) when my knee was bothering me, and I haven't had any trouble since. I made hot tea with it and drank it every day for a few days. If your hip is bothering you, what they will do is give you anti-inflammatory pills, cortisone, but the long term prediction probably will be a hip replacement. They are very successful. But you might try horsetail as it is high in silicon for joints.

If a person is short on silicon, why not just eat sand? Our joints are made of cartilage, a protein, by the way.

I am waiting for bursitis to clear up in my knees.

Jgnat, isn't that what we used to call "housemaid's knee'?. You are clearly working too hard, my dear.

Last year I went to the Doc for my knees

They gave me a gel that I had to carefully measure out and rub on my knees

took the swellin' and pain out in three days

    .

    .

But it wasn't good for my Blood pressure

    had to stop usin' it

    .

If I hurt to bad now, I take Ibuprophen

But that's bad on my pressure too

Can't win one way or the other
