I wonder if the WTBTS is getting ready for "New Light". Is it possible that the WTBTS's doctrine will change from "after the apocalypse 144k will be in heaven and the remaining JWs will live on earth" to add a new class who will be reincarnated after the apocalypse to live on earth?
If the WTBTS does not continue to offer an illusion of living forever in Paradise without injuries/illness, what will JWs have to look forward to? The WTBTS is moving more to using more technology and less human interaction and to control social activities, so what fun will JWs be able to look forward to. About the only thing that the WTBTS will allow JWs to keep are feelings of hubris and being persecuted.
Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,
Robert

I like the idea of nu-light being released about dying. The GB can say, " Evidently, we just can't say when the END is for the Other Sheep. The Remnant will likely finish their earthly course, signaling the start of the GT, and they will direct the Organization from Heaven. We don't know how long that arrangement will continue. The GT may not intensify for some time, and that could test our faith. Still, we must wait on Jehovah. Now let's talk funding..."
Or they could go with the symbolic 144,000, but make sure that the R&F know that ONLY "genuine" anointed are in that group. They are at HQ. That 144,000 applies only to the FDS, but "evidently" Jesus meant that there would also be anointed domestics who were not of the FDS. These too may finish their earthly course before the END. Make no mistake, it's just around the corner.
ps. Can anyone post the Jesus picture on page 27 and the Horsemen from page 29 in the 1/15/2014 WT? Off topic a bit, but I can't steal the pics from a PDF..

WT January 15, 2014 Pg. 24
10 Today, many Christians in their 50’s and older find that their circumstances have changed and that they are able to serve Jehovah in new ways. Some have moved to where the need is greater. For example, Robert writes: “My wife and I were in our mid-50’s when we realized what opportunities lay before us. Our only son had left home, we no longer had aging parents needing care, and we had received a small inheritance. I calculated that the sale of our house would suffice to pay off the mortgage and provide for us until I received income from my retirement pension. We heard that in Bolivia the number of people accepting Bible studies is high but the cost of living is low. So we decided to move.”
Sounds eerily similar to what brothers were commended for doing 40 years earlier.
KM May 1974 p. 3 How Are You Using Your Life? - Yes, since the summer of 1973 there have been new peaks in pioneers every month. Now there are 20,394 regular and special pioneers in the United States, an all-time peak. That is 5,190 more than there were in February 1973! A 34-percent increase! Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end. 1 John 2:17.
Many of us here all know the now very infamous line of crap recorded by the WTS leaders below. Those that listen and obeyed this counsel did so to their own personal harm, regret, and many missed opportunities in life.
Awake May 22, 1969 pg.15
If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!
Forty-five years later, it is now the year 2014. If you were a young 20 year old in 1969 you have in fact gotten old. Yes you are 65 and in retirement. If you survived all the nonsense from the GB over the last 4-5 decades, good for you. If you managed to buy a house, and raise a healthy family that’s great. But it’s never enough for WT. Through all your hard work and sacrifice and now in your “golden years” the WTS is again suggesting you do more with your time. This experience is an endorsement for JW’s to consider selling the greatest asset most of us will ever have, the “family home.”
These leaders have no scruples or shame in even proposing that elderly JW’s give this idea some consideration like back in the early 1970’s. I personally know of two families that sold their homes in the early 70’s. They were very sincere, and well meaning, both were raising young children. When Armageddon did not occur, years passed as they rented, using up most of their savings. The housing market had changed in the meantime and they weren’t able to ever buy another one. This religion just doesn’t care if they convince people to put their homes and savings in jeopardy. The GB’s mantra will remain as it is, reminding me of the saying, “A leopard cannot change its spots.”

The WT is like a machine...
it rolls and rolls forward, grinding up any in the way...
and feels nothing, just like a machine....
