I've heard the rumour of disbanded RBC's and control from the branch instead in the UK.

I wonder whether we will get circuits/regions numbers of congs and overseers changing; with an increase in the regular use of "substitute circiut overseers" so that say a cong gets one real CO visit a year and one sub-co visit? Save on cars and accommodation if you had one real CO for two circuits.

I wonder about a 144k change but fail to see how it would benefit the WT. Where's the money benefit? The control benefit?

That is happening now with the DO and maybe with the CO.

My guess is that something will change with regard to regular pioneers - new 6 day school and presumably new book this year. I'd like to think they'd be able to count time helping people in need but I wont be putting money on it. All changes to be made by summer so that a new organised book can be released at Annual Meeting in October.

So, if they eliminate 'District Conventions", they won't need DO's, right?

If they aren't 3 days, they don't have to rent convention sites... they can use the Assembly Halls? People won't see the # of attendees go down? Or perhaps they don't want publishers to see they are having less conventions to attend because they don't have as many people?

Maybe people are not coming on Fridays? They won't have to do all the Hotel planning either, but I thought they made money on that?

Why ARE they knocking it down to 2 days?
