Is this new light in Par 2? A key foundation of the WT belief is that Christ became king of the kingdom in 1914 - right? Every kid at the Hall knows that. This says.
"In one sense Gods Kingdom came in 1914, BUT......
So now it is only "in a sense" that the Kingdom came. Well, in a sense I am a cook, (but only if it goes from freezer to microwave), but I cook - in a sense. That phrase tells me that one appears to do something, but not really doing it If they backtrack or water down this doctrine, what next?

Par 5 spoke of disasters and pestilence whose scope & severity are "unprecedented in human history" . Have they never heard of the San francisco earthquake 1906 ? or Krakatoa in 1883 or the Bubonic plagues of the 14th and 17th centuries? All of these were far worse than anything in our day, thank goodness.

Par 6 - Well this is just a lie , I am sorry to have to say.
It is about the Bible Students & 1914 " They were not completely sure about what would happen" . In fact they were completely sure

"… the battle of the great day of God Almighty … The date of the close of that "battle" is definitely marked in Scripture as October 1914. It is already in progress, its beginning dating from October, 1874." Zion's Watch Tower 1892 Jan 15 p.23

I have only got as far as Par 6 and that is enough to discredit this junk mail posing as a Bible study. Altering the awkward facts of their past, spinning their failures as successes, that is how they carry on. The sad thing is that the gullible sheep munch it down as lush green grass not knowing that it keeps them in ignorance.

I opened a topix last week on this past Sunday's WT...all I want to say is...how could Jesus/The Lamb, be on the white horse, then open up the other seals. Why does the WT, have Jesus on a white horse with bow & no arrow ? Could it be that Jesus summoned these 4 horseman to carry out the judgement. I shared my thoughts with 2 sisters....I kept asking them, who is the He, in the scriptures that keep opening up the seals..one said, it's a vision, one said who is talking & who is this person talking to....I repeated....who is the He. They just didn't get it....even if it was a vision, how in the world could Jesus be opening the seals, go out & conquer then....

(JesusChrist), opens the first four of the seven seals, which summons four beings that ride out on white, red, black, and pale horses.

Gays are human and not evil. The good old days that included racial lynchings and Jim Crow, vice squads targetting gays, also included serious persecution of the Witnesses. Multiple family members ended up in jail. Witnesses back then paid a very heavy price. J. Edgar Hoover hated them. There was no recognition of First Amendment rights for Witnesses. So preach how the good old days were so great.

My mom used to cry just recalling what happened to her family and close friends. She attended trials on a regular basis. They sent packages to friends in prison. The Supreme Court allowed the persecution for decades. Wow-the 50s were so great. Do you think black Witnesses did not face lynchings? We read the Lord's Prayer and Psalms every day in public school. The KKK flourished in rural NJ. k

What an ignorant comment. Witnesses are not a liked minority religion. They should see that they have common cause with other oppressed groups. What if the ACLU had not filed amicus briefs in all those First Amendment cases. ACLU money is primarily Jewish money.

hello...new poster here. i am not a baptized jw but "married in" while my h was inactive. i started attending meetings with him early last year, and it all seemed harmless...nice people, loving...but now that I have discovered some of the teachings leave me with doubt.

I just couldnt believe this study material. The specific dates don't make sense to me.
