What you see is the evolution of monolatry to monotheism. It became so complete that even a 'devil' is not given personhood in Judaism (Christians put personhood to the Devil).

Christians put personhood to the Sun...I mean Son...too...before he (they) was (were) all statues...
see the movie 'Agora'...it's available on Netflix...there's a huge hint in this movie that alludes to this fact...but more importantly Serapis, and the outcomes at the Council Of Chalcedon should substantiate things from a historical prospective.

And why was jokehova so mean to the Israelites in Hosea 4:1-16 anyway...such vulgar language.

I don't like Gerald Massey, I saw zietgiest the move and traced it back to him. He was a high level druid and evolutionist but more importantly he was incorrect with most of his findings. He reminds me of Zechariah Schithin, these guys mess it up for those that a really trying to find truth and accuracy on the subject. Will check out your other suggestions thanks Matt.

okay, but consider this/these question(s), did Leonardo DaVinci really want to paint the Last Supper? Did MichaelAngelo really want to sculpt a statue of Moses? I ask these questions because back then, like now everyone had/has their own personal agenda or agendas, each of the 4 guys in question did too. Massey, Sitchen (sp), Da Vinci and Michaelangelo. To get their point across they had to do whatever means necessary to ensure their message was read, heard or seen by the masses and would live on. There will always be controversy with historical information, simply because it's 'His Story'. No one person will have all of the facts. Which means the pieces to the puzzle must first be gathered then put together to explain the big picture.
