Go to another country and get married. What is so great about the Philippines? I have yet to hear that is ok. John Lennon and Yoko went to Gibraltar. People move to marry and to divorce. All you need to do is see how long it will take to be recognized. There are always loopholes. People in the Phillipines should know more than people on this forum.

Is it a Roman Catholic influenced law? Perhaps you need an annulment rather than a divorce.

According to the Witchtower study on divorce: If the country you live in does not recognise divorce, AND you have SCRIPTURAL grounds for divorce, you can sign a declaration and give it to the elders that you will marry your partner legally when the law of the land changes, but in the meantime you will be viewed as married in the eyes of the WTBTS.

This happened in Ireland in the 70s (the time of that study), and now they can get divorced and married. It was based on Gods laws (ie WTBTS laws) being superior to those of the land we live in. At the time I disagreed, saying it was still living in sin, but if that study allows you to have sex, instead of the unforgivable HOMOSEXUAL act of playing with yourself, take advantage of it, I say.

In some US states a girl can marry as young as 14, in Spain 13, If that couple then moves to a country where the marriagable age is 16, do the elduhs DF the couple for fornication, or the man for child molesting?? (silly question: the girl for fornication YES; the man for child abuse NO)

we can get married in other places--like las vegas--or hong kong--in fact anywhere that recognises her UK divorce. ( she got thst over here 18 months ago )

the difficulty for us is getting her a spouse visa to come to the UK--UKVI look for any excuse to refuse--so she has applied for annulment to start with. hopefully get this by the end of the summer.
