Oh wow 20 posts! I didnt even realize anyone commented! Dont you just love when he pulls out the 1800s WT to prove they arent a prophet, meanwhile ignoring quotes like this..

Holy Spirit — The Force Behind the Coming New Order! (1976) p.148 ch.8 "Spirit of Life from God Entered into Them"

The facts substantiate that the remnant of Christ's anointed disciples have been doing that prophesying to all the nations...

"Jehovah God has made known to his anointed ones in advance what these Scriptures mean." Watchtower 1931 Jun 1 p.160

"No man can properly interpret prophecy, and the Lord sends his angels to transmit correct information to his people." Watchtower 1936 Feb 15 p.52

    ABOUT 1925

"… this chronology is not of man, but of God. … the addition of more proofs removes it entirely from the realm of chance into that of proven certainty. … the chronology of present truth [is]… not of human origin." Watch Tower 1922 Jul 1 p.217

"[A mature Christian] has complete confidence in the truth as it is revealed by Jehovah God through his Son, Jesus Christ, and "the faithful and discreet slave." Watchtower 2001 Aug 1 p.14
The Watchtower is not the instrument of any man or set of men, nor is it published according to the whims of men. No man's opinion is expressed in The Watchtower. God feeds his own people, and surely God uses those who love and serve him according to his own will. Those who oppose The Watchtower are not capable of discerning the truth that God is giving to the children of his organization, and this is the very strongest proof that such opposers are not of God's organization." Watchtower 1931 Nov 1 p.327

I listened to it right the way through....

It would be one of those that everyone in the cong would rush to "ooohhhh, and ahhhhhh" over I can tell you....

    Main points:

It is ok to have doubts, just don't tell people all about it and spread dissention.

Don't think too much about your doubts, just be a simpleton and accept everything.

Most if not all "apostates" are immoral to begin with, hence their reason for leaving the truth. If they are not so in the beginning, they will become immoral sooner or later anyway.

    seriously!

How can you be "the sole channel of communication between mankind and God"

and NOT a Prophet ? Oh, thats right, they as "Mediator" to the rank and file have

replaced Jesus Christ and are no mere, lowly Prophet.

What they are saying is that to oppose them is to oppose God himself.

This establishes their position as " Standing in the Holy Place" and identifies them

as "The Man of Lawlessness" claiming to be Gods. 2 Thessalonians 2.........

"who exalts himself over every so-called god or object of worship,

so that he sits down in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God."

What I found surprising was when he said "we're not saying its wrong to read literature publised against Jehovah's Witnesses" (7:30) what???? since when??? Another thing was when he was saying that being brilliant wasn't always a good thing (25:15) then he goes on to say that Ptolemys canon was a fraud- but thats not true. He was talking about Robert R. Newtons books "The Crimes of Ptolemy" which has problems in it and JW influences. Nothing certian about Sintuko's claim. Ironically he does a brief mention of 1975 when he was the one doing speeches on it.

What a deplorable speech. Throughout the whole thing he smears all the ones who are trying to base their beliefs on the closest ascertainable "truth" as immoral, prideful, boastful, "brilliant," as if it is impossible to be an honest truth seeker and come to different conclusions.

The fact that they have no category for an honest, good intentioned, truth seeking person who just plain disagrees, is effing ridiculous. THAT'S what always bothered me growing up JW. The arrogant idea that there must be some hidden bad about a person if they did not see it the JW way even after examining all known facts. Their "heart" must be "bad" somehow.

Either I know Watchtower literature better than he does, or he's a bald faced liar.

A propaganda talk done so to support the power of the leaders of the WTS .

Fear is the most potent tool the WTS uses not only to attract attention to its published literature but to keep people

in total subservience to the GB/Directors of the WTS.

People who study and become JWS to this faith get molded and shaped to be the WTS's public sales Representatives.

    Just now listening to this.

I noticed in at around the 1:15 mark he uses the term, "Jehovah's Christian Witnesses."

Is this an old term? I was born in for the last 35+ years, and I don't remember this term being used ever.
