If she puts up a blog, then she has to expect reations that she doesnt like!
It is the public forum of the internet after all!
I wonder who Mr Medic was...... I bet he is handsome too!
This is really strange. Two problems happen with not having emblems:
1) You remove the chance of anyone who could potentially want to partake in the emblems. It's already been noted that during the memorial discussion, they highly discouraged partaking but now they've gotten rid of the whole thing.
2) The emblems are part of the ritual, one of the most important parts of the whole thing. Other than that, it's like going to another meeting. That's what makes the whole experience unique.
I'm sure Jesus wouldn't mind if something other than unleavened bread and wine if it wasn't available.
"...just trying to get through one day at a time in Satan's world"
These people can't name one difficulty in today's world that the charachter Satan could be responsible for....
Disease
Death
Ageing
Sin
Birth Complications
Difficult survival
Tendancy to do wrong
Sexism
Slavery
Homophobia
Racism
According to the bible, every single one of those things was specifically created by and given to us by the god of the bible as a punishment or commanded as a way to live (slavery, racism, sexism etc ) .. how on earth is satan responsible for anything she is witnessing in Africa, or home or anywhere?
Not passing the emblems seems the least aggregious thing the Borg has done. In the face of an epidemic, even smart.HOWEVER, they are all gathering together still in one place to... WHAT? Is there any rule that you even have to "pass" the emblems? They could all stay home and stare at pic of a glass of wine and unleavened bread for all the partaking most of 'em do, anyway and PARTAKING was what they were told to do. If Ebola isreally a concern, stay at home til its OVER.
So, let everyone stay home and thank God they got out of traveling over crocodile and snake infested rivers.

PS, regarding boy in non native dress-he probably got a kick out of it. One of my great nephews came to visit us in a suit jacket, tie (on elastic:) ) and slacks when it was about 110degrees outside because he wanted to show off (he is 6).Not everyone WEARS "native" dress all the time. Western clothes are a sign o affluence (even when it doesn't fit:) )
Celebrating the Lord's Evening Supper without the supper, what will they think of next?
2) The emblems are part of the ritual, one of the most important parts of the whole thing. Other than that, it's like going to another meeting. That's what makes the whole experience unique.- APROCLAIMER
This is absolutely fascinating from a psychology of religion perspective. Someone would study this!
You have a ritual, and then you throw out the ritual! What in the hell is left?! . . . . . Oh yeah, that's right: it's a cult!
I'm surprised that this blog is tolerated by the Org. Aren't Witnesses supposed to refrain from such sites?
Perhaps the GB is a quandary here?? On the one hand, she's so loyal and praises the GB, and is so outstanding in the ministry. On the other, she's being disobedient by even having such a site/blog. She has quite a following, with people even stealing her photos. Is the Org making some sort of exception in her case???
Or do you think they'll have to clamp down on her, especially since she's now been linked here at JW.net?
Feel free to post what I wrote if you want. It's more subtle.
