OK, so as most know, this is the weekend of the "SPECIAL TALK" ...
If anyone is going to the K Hall, please shaer your thoughts on what makes is "so special"...

The last year I attended a Special Talk, it was the most boring talk I ever heard. And all the JWs constantly flipping thru their Bibles looking up scriptures. How would a curious outsider feel if they happened to attend?? That has got to be a major turnoff to any reasonably 'normal' person. The fact that the JWs are totally oblivious to this is really hilarious.
i get to miss it this year. poor, poor me.
Even poorer me - this will be my fifth year of missing the "special" talk.
I have to go. It will be just like everything else, recycled crud. I don't even remember last years title. I was just learning TTATT when " Is it later than you think?", made it's debut. I was gobsmacked by the stupidity of the talk. When I saw the Awake of the same title, I was disgusted. I am sure it will be well reported on.

Yeah, I never have understood that. Not one has ever been special. In fact, they just go into the regular talk rotation after they're given.
Inst this the talk they want all the newbies after the memorial to attend as a recriutment talk and cover the basic beliefs of the JWs??
Yes, it is, but the talk itself, to me, seems to be indistinguishable from all the others. When you hear a former "special" talk that is now in regular rotation, you don't recognize it as being special.
