Could someone remind me, what is there warped reasoning in classifying a talk as being special?
Perhaps someone already said this...but it is "special" because the same blah blah blah outline is to be parroted in every congregation on the same day.
BTW, I made a comment on another thread not realizing that this one had started. Sorry for the duplicate ya'll!
All I remember about every one of these talks I ever sat through was some speaker blah blah blah-ing about how terrible the world is with statistics and anecdotal information about there being more crime, war, disease, violence and immortality than ever before. I remember walking out on one because it was just so depressing!
At one time there were simpletons, cretins, morons, and imbeciles. All medical terms.
Then these were renamed "remedial' cases by the educators.
Then they were renamed "special needs"
Now they are just "special."
The talks are "special" because they are for simpletons, cretins, morons and imbeciles - "special"
The 'SPECIAL' talks were always the worst as it seemed they had to be read directly from the manuscript sent by the borg. No personal flourishes allowed by the speaker.
What is the title of the talk?
"Why a loving God permits wickedness"
it was the same old for long time witnesses, a typical recruiting talk for newbies...
nothing special, really....
It was exactly as special as watching a rerun of Gilligan's Island.
The organization left that day for a 3 hour tour a 3 hour tour
the preaching started getting rough the tiny org was tossed
if not for the crazyness of rutherford the message would get lost the message would get lost
inbetween - Thanks. Sounds like the same old rehashed junk.
The question presupposes there is a loving god. (I'm not saying either way but we know it's referring to Jehovah, the watchtower(R) god). Typical cult propaganda will spew forth.
