here is a reliable report that during a recent Special Assembly Day, the Bethel speaker and the CO in their final talk called their wives onto the stage and had them give/ READ Experiences relevant to the subject. No hanky to cover head, because talking into mike under the auspices of their husbandly owners.?

During Baptism talk too, experiences by live participants were featured.

baptism figures: 1% of audience count. so:

no ACHAN impeding the spirit in that crowd. or

    lucky shot?

    bunching of statistics?

    things are looking up.

Now that you mention it, females are often called to the stage to give their experiences. Of course it's a form of preaching to the congregation but the org. just ignores this for the sake of having a heart warming, tear jerking, ear ticklying story being told.

listener, what appears to be new is the use of a close relative in a major talk, PREVIOUSLY always exclusively the domain of the 2 alpha males of the occasion.

I'm expecting sisters to receive greater 'responsiblities' or 'priviledges' in the very near future. Women are constantly seen in WT videos doing building work. Giving the 'girls' more equal footing in the congregations will make the Org. appear progressive and 'balanced'.

It would be a selling point to new recruits and will help to keep young ones 'in'.

I can see women handling microphones, the sound booth, working the lit/mag/territory counter, managing hall care - inside and out, etc. in the next few years.

ginger, in isolated congregations/groups, sisters already did the works.

Women are easier to dupe on an emotional level, for the most part. They are more "religious" as a general rule. Add the fact that they have been kept down for 130 years, and you can understand why everything is such a privilige. JW women will NEVER get any real responsibilities. They would not put up with half the shit that goes on in a backroom kangaroo meeting. If more women learned TTATT, the WTBTS's death would occur much sooner.

I can see the (for want of a better word) elderettes being thrilled with any arrangement that gives them more air-time.

Like some kind of twisted jw Mr President and First Lady status.
