I spend a lot of time in a culture where everyone without exception believes in magic and spells...
I have met lawyers who work for the un, who are totally convinced of it.
It is all pervading, and anything you like from loosing your job, to an unexpected illness, accident, death, you name it, is all explained by black magic.
i don't believe any of it, but for those who do, it's extremely powerful....
Do you think there is magic/spirit forces in voodoo, ju ju men etc?
Not sure about ju ju men, but there is some kind of sorcery going on with jujubes. What the heck type of supernatural gunk do they make them out of? And why does it take nothing less than a pickaxe to scrape them off your teeth?
Of course they are real.
Prophecy and magic/spirits are well documented in Middle-earth and Hogwarts.
As for voodoo, Voodoo Child (Slight Return) is one of my favorites songs/documentary.
Although JuJu man is totally fake.
