The younger generation is hopefully learning more about the way life works and how it evolved here on earth. Encouraging to see these results.

Older people seem to cling to religion, even though it has less and less meaning in their lives. They SAY they are Catholic or Protestant or Jewish despite not living with it in their lives except for weddings, funerals, and maybe the biggest holidays like Christmas, Easter, Honukah. Many formed business relations thru religion.
Younger ones often see no value in this and have formed business relations in other ways. They see religion as something we can outgrow, like the VCR or the iceman.

I read an excellent book on the origins of gods and religions, which also had an excellent Title "And Man Created God". Yahweh gets a passing mention.
As the book's Title is obviously true, I guess most people's brains , especially the youngsters, have evolved to the point where they can uncreate god, if they ever created god in their imagination in the first place.
"Time to move on, nothing to see here".

"One of the best ways of enslaving people is to keep them from education. The second way of enslaving people is to suppress the source of information, not only by burning books but by controlling the ways in which ideas are transmitted." - Eleanor Roosevelt, May 11, 1943
This is the Information Age.
Theists often claim that their gods are perfect beings; they describe gods, however, in contradictory and incoherent ways. Numerous characteristics are attributed to their gods, some of which are impossible and some combinations of which are impossible.
As described, it's unlikely or impossible for these gods to exist. Why Christianity and not Judaism? Why Islam and not Hinduism? Why monotheism and not polytheism? Every position has had its defenders, all as ardent as those in other traditions. They can't all be right, but they can all be wrong.
Most people are skeptics, education and the internet are going to eradicate all myths.
Take care,
Ismael
