Yes, it's that time again! Time to put your feet up, relax with something nice to drink, and muse over dubdom for a couple of minutes.

Last weekend we asked: "What did you like MOST about the meetings?" so, to be fair to objectivity, we should ask for the 'other side'. So here's this week's question:

What did you like LEAST about the meetings?

    1. There were too many!

    2. They were too long!

    3. So-called Bible highlights took a 'bullet train ride' through 3 Bible chapters in 6 minutes!

    4. The songs. ('nuf said)

    5. Wearing a tie!

    6. Repetitious public talks - heard it all before!

    7. Poor speakers.

    8. Good speakers who had to keep to "the outline".

    9. Endless references to "The Outline".

    10. Kingdom Ministry articles written in 'staccato fashion' prose.

    11. The Service Meeting parts where a family discusses a Kingdom Ministry article. (Groan!)

    12. Having to be on time!

    13. Sitting in a half-empty (cold) Kingdom Hall for the Service Meeting.

    14. Elders meetings 'after the meeting'.

    15. The back row!

    16. The front row!

    17. Other

    Have fun!

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

All of the above. Missed last weeks poll. You mean to say there really was something to like about the meetings? My mind must be failing me...

When I was growing up, I always hated when our family was selected to go up on the platform and give a demonstration of how to properly conduct a Family Study. The reason was simple: we really never had one except when one of my brothers did something really bad and the Family Study became like a Family "Local Needs" talk instead, no names mentioned, just stare at the party in question. I think I was about 12 when I refused to participate anymore in the demonstrations, much to my dad's consternation. When he wanted to know why, I said that I was not going to be a party to his hypocrisy. I was then put under strict orders to not breathe a word about the reason for my refusal to anyone. After all, dad was counting 4 hours and 4 return visits every month for a family study that didn't really exist.

Sorry. I'd have to say all of them. The only thing I like was when they were over. I had other fish to fry; either involving spirituous beverages with my friends, or involving separating some sister from her knickers.

Ahh yes, Scully, the four hours and four return visits of fatherhood!

We remember it well!! How strange that dubs only allow fathers to 'count' time up to 4 hours a month with the most important people in the world, their own children! All part of the 'anti-family' tradition handed down to the current crop of unfatherly overlords at Crooklyn.

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

Well...being you named all the ones already, I guess I'll have to pick a couple of your choices.

    6. Repetitious public talks - heard it all before!

    7. Poor speakers.

When YOU can look up the scripture the speaker is going to use BEFORE he asks you to turn there.......you know it must be repetitious.
