Too many meeting to attend and 2 hour meetings were definately my biggest problem with meetings. Then to have to sacrifice myself this way and have to sit there and listen to a really bad speaker... uuuggghhh...

Theocratic Ministry School... Was that a test of obedience or what??

The singing. Sounded like funeral marches. Except in the congregation I grew up in. There was a sister who fancied herself an opera singer.
All you could hear above the droning was her voice sounding like a cat being tortured. I still cringe when I think of it.

The seats were always uncomfortable. In that same congregation we had metal folding chairs. A couple of hours in them was awful.

it was being tired during the meeting and falling asleep and being woken up by my dad saying that this was not a place to sleep- it was a place to worship. why did i HAVE to stay awake every thursday til 10pm because of the meeting, but then every other night bedtime was at 8:30pm?
also it was trying not to giggle with my little brother and getting the look- and then being brought outside to get spanked when i couldn't contain my laughter.
i could never go to the bathroom- we always had to ask- i peed my pants at age 6 because it was "disrespectful to go the restroom during the song."
    so glad i am out-

The sisters who'd been hard at work the night before working out 'harmonies' for the songs... boy did they look smug after...painful..

the echoing loos-everyone could hear you peeing...

being stuck inside when it was hot and sunny....

Trying not to think 'bad 'thoughts about that damn fine brother......

Listening to the greek language expert explain why the WT study article was slightly flawed.......

    Trying to eat quietly......

going home to find hubby still in bed and i'd been up for 4 hours....

    Ah....happy times.....

This morning I was brought breakfast in bed at 11.30, read the papers in the garden till lunchtime, had drinks with the neighbours and did'nt miss the meeting once...how odd...!

Almost every dub hates meetings. The ones who do love meetings, also enjoy having their fingernails pulled out with pliars, but I'm being redundant.

I agree with Star, there are just too many meetings. When you work and have children it becomes absolutely horrendous to have to come home, get the kids ready, get yourself ready, have some dinner so that you are not starving at the hall, be on time and then to sit there for two interminable hours! Torture.

Having to study for the meetings and then listen to the stuff all over again. How dull!

The parts on the Service Meeting that were panel discussions. SO BORING!!! I loved the convention reviews at the meeting the next week, until they started doing it as a panel discussion. Snore!!!
