    Really serious about what, Doug? Becoming a JW? The last post I read of yours sounded like you were going to meetings. What's up with that? Having been coming to this site for a while, and knowing what you know about them, how could you seriously entertain the idea?
    If this is what you are serious about, then, absolutely, you should stay. Because most of the members on this site are XJW's, who have many painful experiences due to the WTS, you are bound to be the target of some anger because of your activities. Still, that doesn't mean you should leave.

    Do you still have hopes of trying to get Debbi "out"? Is this an attempt to win her?

    Whether you should be here, or not, is merely another individuals opinion. Doesn't mean it's right, or wrong, for that matter. It's just their point of view. Simon is the person who has the keys to this place and he decides who stays, and who leaves. It does say "Everyone Welcome" at the top of the screen. So, just be sure that any decision you make, YOU own it.

    Well, think about it. I know exactly where things are heading for you. Right now you want this woman because she doesn't want you. It's a challenge. We all know that men like a good challenge but..........If you leave here only for her(You know this is the only reason since you don't even believe what the JW's teach.) You may get the girl, but down the road you will be miserable for the simple fact she will always be living life the way the jw's want her to. This will cause arguments. Seeing that you haven't had time to build a solid relationship with her these arguments will turn to resentment, resentment will then turn to hate.

    Doug, you will end up losing in the end, and will be far more hurt then than you are hurting now by not being with her.

    You have a mind, please use it.

    outlaw, i think your are misunderstanding dougs post. from what i understand, from having talked to doug in chat in the past, (correct me if i'm wrong doug) is that doug has a girlfriend (or would like her to be?) that is a jw and he is thinking (or doing it seems) of joining the jws because if he doesnt she wont have any future relationship with her and apparently he loves her very much.

    obviously if he is to truly win her over he will have to be 'serious' about joining the jw's not just act like hes only there to get her. therefore he would have to abide by jw rules which would include not associating with us.
