It would be hilarious if EVERY JW made the decision to be 'anointed' and partake of the emblems. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that Memorial!!! But I highly doubt that many dedicated JWs have the balls to try something that radical.
Question about the anointed selection process

Good for her! The annointed in the congs don't have any role anyway. It just messes up WT numbers when JWs start to partake and the numbers go up instead of down. Kate xx

Rev 7 speaking about the 144k does NOT say they are ANOINTED, they are SEALED.
Many would -be partakers at the JW Memorial do not partake because it is WT-DOCTRINE-TAINTED. they do it in private.
even then, it is a ritual,
a communion meal
after all.

The gb had to change the long-standing policy of Only 144,000 Anointed ones because the number of partakers kept increasing. Memory may not be serving me correctly, but it seems when I first studied I was told that the big A would commence immediately after the 144000th anointed one died/ascended to the heavens to join christ and his brothers. The teaching was later amended to be that "it could be" that some of the anointed would remain on earth to direct the org. Then the numbers began increasing 10-15 years ago and that really messed things up, so guess what? Now the anointed are not really all that important and we'll just stop focusing on them. Do they still announce the number of partakers?

Sorry in advance for contributing nothing of value to this thread, but I just had to:
8 guys in brooklyn appointed themselves as the fds so y not appoint oneself as a 'little flocker'?
That brings up the crucial question: do we have a desire to be a "little flocker" or an "other flocker"?

Here is some research you can do right here:
Breakdown of the word-grouping related to "anointed" - here.
Here and here - The idea of 'non-anointed Christians' and application of Zech 8:23 and Isaiah 45:14 which the WT uses to describe a group of 'non-anointed companions.'
The priesthood of all Christians versus just the 144,000 - here.
Comment about current JW r&f views on being 'anointed' - here.
The WT's coined phrase "anointed remnant" - here.
Being 'born of the spirit' & 'the helper' (or paraclete) - here and here.
Sub-links involving 'anointed,' 'the new covenant,' and the 'great crowd' - here.

Was there a flame over her head? There has to be a flame over her head for the attendants to include her in the official count.

VILLAGEGIRL - "You yourself should have partaken at the memorial because that's what Jesus told you to do, not sit there and refuse to partake."
Or better still, do it in the privacy of your own home as part of a meal - not as a nibble & sip ritual for spectators!
