A popster whose name I can't remember (sorry!!) put someothing up on the board regarding these replicating virses:
The very first address in your address book should be an invalid one. When the virus try to rplicate itself, it will see that the eamil is not valid, and will stop itself right thtere.
Make sure it's the FIRST address, beginning with 1 I think...say 1dungbeetleyahoo.com, which si not valid.
Even if the new virus designers figure a way around it, it will stop the old viruses in case your virus system is down or something.
BEFORE YOU TRY AND REMOVE THE STICK FROM MY ARSE, REMOVE THE TELEPHONE POLE FROM YOUR OWN ARSE.

I heard this too.
Someone told me to have the first address in the address book start with an "A" example AAAAA@****Com
The virus will start with this and when it cant send this first one out, it cant continue.

I felt so bad. My brother in law told me "yea, your computer sent me a virus last week". Hes an engineer so he knows all about viruses etc. Luckilly he caught it and got rid of it. I was like, "why didnt you call me, I had no idea".
What was really strange was the virus had different subjects. The one to him said, To: "his name", Honey, From me. I almost got into some big time trouble there. Good thing him and his wife are up on this virus stuff or there would have been a family feud. -

My advice is, even if you have virus protection software, do not use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express and the Windows Address Book to store your email or other information. The security holes in these programs are so severe that it just isn’t worth it - some swine is always thinking of better ways of hacking them, and Microsoft can't hardly keep up. There is another email program that is just as good, if not better, than Outlook for email. It is called Eudora ( http://www.eudora.com ) like Outlook, it allows you to store addresses, but is not as vulnerable to attacks.

I have been having major problems with my new computer and apparently I have had several viruses sent to me, but I don't know from whom. I think my computer is so buggered up that I have to take it back to the place I bought it. My son is a computer whiz and he can't figure what has happened either. Thank God for warranties.
