My friends have made a stand on shunning.

I have some non-Christian friends who work at my local supermarket, who, over the last 7 months, have heard my little snippets of how I have been shunned by some JW employees. I am a regular customer at this store.

2 of my friends have brought this issue up with the store manager and have voiced their disapproval of this practice. You basically leave your religion at the front door and when you are in work uniform. These ladies did this out of their own sense of fairness and conscience.

This is now being investigated by the managers.

This is just a small step, I know but I am so hopeful that it will make this nasty little cult sit up and take notice. You cannot treat people like this.

Will keep you posted on progress.

We just had harassment training at work and I brought up that question about shunning fellow employees based on religious preference...using jw practice of shunning fellow members who had been kicked out...the lawyer conducting was well aware of the practice it turns out and he made it clear that it would not be tolerated (including religious reasons against homosexuality).

Let me know if they check into it legally.

If they do, then the borg can use them as experiences of how they put 'pure worship' & 'love' of god first in their lives at the boasting sessions.....

Can't wait to hear how their Bible HQ trained consciences react when they are faced with the sack for their hateful, discriminatory practices towards customers!! The local media should be informed of this - regardless of the outcome!

These dumb/blinded Witnesses can't even reason on the fact that they are "allowed" to act normally with any D/F'd member of their family who still lives at home, but if the individual moves next door, they've to stone them to death!!
