    Hi

I havent posted on here for many a year, but I have become an activist this year and I need a bit of advice please.

A friend and I have designed some stickers and we will be attending the conventions this year, with the intention of trying to wake people up discreetly. If I knew how to attach the Word document containing our stickers I would (please feel free to email me at [email protected]).

Anyhow the help I want is this. We need to go undercover as active JWs, and all I have is the songbook. I wondered if anyone knew how I could get hold of convention badges and perhaps a silver sword? Even a photocopy of the badge so that I could mock one up myself would be great.

I am going to get my stickers printed onto HIGH STICK paper, so that they are all but impossible to remove, and my aim is to get them on all the donation boxes, which would effectively put the boxes out of action. :-)

    Go for it.

There is a post from about a month ago that has a badge on it. I forget the title, but one is there.

can you get a hold of a public invitation and go as an interested person?

    Don't do it.

You'll probably get caught, kicked out and will only feed the WT designed perception of apostates as "angry, mentally-diseased" opposers.

Don't make their ficticious boogeyman real.

There are more effective ways to be an anti-JW activist.

The stickers could be prosecuted as vandalism. Print up flyers from JwFacts and leave them in the bathroom stalls or drop them in the contribution boxes. Stickers placed on the boxes will just be stickered or taped over with packing tape and kept in action.

Wow, superb. thanks for the badge! Thats brilliant.

I do LOTS of other activism as well. I think any kind of activism can be critisised on the grounds of ineffectiveness, feeding stereotypes etc.

We will be taking flyers too. We dont intend to sticker non JW property. Flyers can be thrown away, stickers can be stuck over. Theres a reason to not do anything, but im not like that. Im going to try it anyway, then review it, change it, improve it.

Don't forget, there is a contribution box watcher for every box every second it's on the floor. Maybe you have Carbenero like talents to get a sticker on them but it will be challenging. Stickers are great for tagging literature left in laundry mats and donut shops and bus stations. At the conventions, tagging mags left for saving seats is doable. Or tag the trash cans. It's all challenging. Not trying to dissuade your efforts in any way, just be careful and don't feed their persecution complex.
