  I knew some Jewish people growing up but I wasn't exposed to Jewish culture until I started college. For a while, I was very hurt b/c I so looked forward to being friends with Jewish women and men. Some of them, the most religious, wanted nothing to do with me b/c I was Christian. This struck me as odd as a door knocker. I admire the dedication to the arts and science that Jewish culture brings. It is very much the opposite of the Witnesses. Within a few months, I had Jewish friends.

  Sometimes I feel as though I should have an extra degree for negotiating the tight rope of Christian/Jewish interactions in Manhattan. It is sad how much time is spent discussing protocol with each other.

  I have been interested In Judaism and The Jews for some time now.. There are several things that interest me, however one of the first things that I was first amazed by is their Lack of Doctrine, and their "Un-Exclusivity".. As in they know that they are "Gods Chosen People" however unlike the witnesses they don't claim to be the only people that will gain salvation. Their charitability and sense of community is also commendable.

  I think what it comes down to is Doing as Opposed to Knowing, while they have a strong desire for knowledge and study in the Torah, they don't get puffed up about their particular interpretation of Ezekiel 39 or some other unknown future Prophecy.

  I am glad you pointed this statistic out. The wealthy Arab nations

  surrounding the Palestinian territories have treated

  their Arab-Muslim brothers despicibly and in fact withold help,

  on purpose to use them, to try to shame and complain

  and blame Israel for all the disheveled Palestinian lives.

  Saudia Arabia will not allow Palestinians to immigrate there nor will

  any Arab nation except Jordan who took many in. Arafat took millions

  and possibly billions in foreign aide from the USA and other European

  nations and socked it all away in his personal accounts and his wife

  lived in luxury in Paris, France.

  The Jewish practice of sending their children to Torah or Hebrew school

  on Saturday and exposing them to the ancient law codes has I believe

  done much to develop their youth from an early age in the ability to reason,

  argue law and develop logical thinking and study habits. The Jews may have

  various divisions in the form of the Orthodox, the Reform and the Conservatives,

  but it hardly compares to Sunni and Shia Muslims killing each other.
