Thnx Cofty -
I'm in a dark mood as I consider the personal tragedies in Ukraine and the Gaza strip and the poor bloody kids who have died in both tragedies.
the self-evident truths in the video, earned a smile from me.
Politics and money make it a HARD problem... People thinking that it was God who gave them the land makes it VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE to solve.
I think this cartoon over simplifies the issues - KateWild
No shit!
For a more thorough treatment of the history of the Middle East see...
"The Great War For Civilisation" by Robert Fisk (one of the most compelling books I have ever read) and...
"A History of The Modern Middle East - Fourth Edition" by William L. Clevland and Martin Bunton (one of the more heavy-going books I have ever read)
Over-simplified?
Jeeezuuz! The modern Jewish state was born in terrorism, and continues to exist through terrorism.
No shit!-cofty
hahahaha!!!! well mister you missed the point............it's not just about God......you owe me an apology now please Kate xx

Would I?
I much rather an apology cofty .....I need a good fiction book and not Tom Clancy or Lee Child...I am female. I might try Robert Fisk though. I have about three books on the go atm. Kate xx
Cofty, I just ordered Fisk "Great War for Civilization"
from Amazon. Your description of it being compelling and
then Amazons many favorable reviews inspired me.
It seems like it might take a year to read. 1283 pages.
I have more books than I have liftime left to read.
Well done James Brown. It is an epic but I couldn't put it down.
He has a lifetime of being a reporter of Middle East affairs.
He even interviewed Bin Laden on at least one occassion.
It is a book I would like to read again.
