I think of them as the executive from company HQ that visits the local branch to meet with management, and who also gives a short pep talk to the employees when they're brought together in the company meeting room. Anyone with corporate experience will find it a very close analogy to CO visits.
Could not agree more with Apognophos ...If one has worked for a large Corp. then it is all eerily similar. Mind you, I have never known this in the U K
Then there's the lunch - "feeding the CO". This is not the CO sitting down with one or two brothers to have a meal. No, that would be the exception. Normally, feeding the CO is a planned boufet style banquet, with upwards of 20 or more in attendance!
Must be those over the top Americans again! (only kidding, just being "British") Or am I wrong about this?
