Here is an honest question: How many other human beings were alive on Earth WHO WOULD HARM Cain?

A great number of small children, a la Lord of the Flies, first of all. A vengeful Adam. Possibly some of the adult women who were born after Abel and before Seth. That's about all I can imagine.

I find it interesting that Able was the first human to die when god claimed that Adam and Eve would die for eating the fruit Of the tree of knowledge.

I was looking through various Jewish texts to find out what was the age difference between Abel and Cain, and all say that Cain was older and more experienced. Some texts say they were twins, while other say that Cain was twin with his sister, and Abel was born much later where the difference between these two is up to 120! years. Also Midrahs mentions that Adam was unable to procreate with Eve because she was cheating on him with Sammael the Serpent and was ordered by G-d to know his wife and procreate.

Enigma, I always wondered why Abel was not rised from death once Cain killed him. It was certainly in G-d's power to do so.

    Martyred for some vegetables... Lackluster.

Cain, through the sweat of his brow, was really pleased with his fruit & vegetables. He piled them up before God. They must have been really something........remember how it took two Isrealite men to carry one bunch of grapes?

Why did God despise vegetables so much seeing that he had made them?

Any parent knows not to favour one child over another, but what does God do? Yep he does just that, told poor Cain he had no regard for him or his offering.

Oh & God forgot to tell Able to watch his back when around Cain or that Cain was getting mighty upset about the favour I'm showing you.

Seeing they were all supposed to be vegetarians at that time where did the idea of having to spill the blood of another sentient creature to please God come from?

jehober is a blood thirsty god of the tribe of israel. yea right that abel thought of killing/slaughtering animals to please god! why did jehober think it was necessary to have such bloody worship when today jw's would be appalled by such blood spilling. when people today slaughter an animal for sacrifice to their god, society is absolutely appalled. it's disgusting to think that a loving god would want humans to slaughter his lovely little creatures.

    just saying!

so in a hundred years, abel didn't father any children? and cain neither? must have been a shortage of women. but jehober said to multiply. i guess that cain was not too smart and thought multiply meant to subtract. he must have been home schooled with no higher education.

It's funny; these days it's considered Satanic if you sacrifice a goat under the full moon. In ancient Israel it was just business as usual.

This story just doesn't make sense when analysed.

Cain & Abel, by evidently being such slow breeders, resulted in human life remaing extremely rare.

God didn't think to warn or protect Abel from being murdered even though he had found favour in God's eyes, however does go on to protect Cain's life after the dastardly deed.
