  A Brother from Germany, Brother Kurt Rossett in Redondo Beach California had a bunch of Pastor Russell defense pamphlets on hand at his house

  which he would dig out and show to me (when I went over to play chess with him.) I saw that pamphlet which--I think--was printed by the Bible Students.

  There was one on the Miracle Wheat "scandal" as well.

  I remember not caring very much what had been said about Russell.

  I think most modern day JW's don't care either.

  I do, however, think this is something worth knowing. A pattern was set early on and followed through by all the leaders of the Watchtower.

  Its called Bullshitting to create public appeal Terry, Russell was still a salesman at heart even when he ran the WTS Publishing House.

  A little bullshitting here a little twisting of the facts there, quote a few scriptures out of context from the bible to support your

  proclamations and whamo you have a following.

  People so enthralled with your presented ideologies they will offer either money or labor too.

  Kind of sounds like whats happening now , with the JW organization.

  One to thing to keep mind concerning Russell , he really couldn't give a hoot what happened to the WTS. after he died,

  proof of that is in his Will when he wished no further new publications should made when he did die.

  Sounds like he just positioned himself to point where he gained public notoriety and received financial support for the WTS,

  but like I mentioned before if the money wasn't there, Rutherford wouldn't have never aggressively chased after the control of the WTS.

  like he did.

  If the money was never there most likely the Jehovah's Witnesses would have never gotten off the ground and we wouldn't be discussing this religion

  on this forum and we would have never been involved with this religion as it exists today.
