According to JWs' application of Acts 15:29, shouldn't they also be refusing medical examinations by gynecologists?

Ok, the gyn analogies are creeping me out. I will need to bleach that out of my brain before my next gyn appointment.

But this is a good point. The logic can be applied to almost anything, really.

Pagan practices are sometimes done with windchimes.
Windchimes are sometimes used to make music.
Therefore music can be equated with Paganism.
Hence, true christians don't listen to music.

    Or even simpler:

Fornication is sometimes done in automobiles.
Therefore, riding in automobiles can be equated with fornication.
Hence, true christians do not use automobiles in order to obey the biblical command to "flee from fornication".

I am scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow. I can only imagine where this analogy is going

I'll give you a clue: ANALogy.

I knew a guy who"s colonoscopy went horribly wrong. It nearly wrecked 'em

After much prayerful deliberation, the Body of Elders has decided to disfellowship you Sister Horny. We have direct evidence at hand from the Nurse in your Doctors office. She is a fellow Witness in a nearby congregation and she testified to us that you did not 'scream out' when the Doctor inserted this very tool into your private parts. As you know, fornication is identified by the Governing Body as the 'misuse of the genitals by at least one party involved' and since the Speculum has no genitals we must find you to be the guilty party. CASE CLOSED!

Get your colonoscopy from Dr. Beninya. He's the best. Dr. Ben Dover is also quite good.

Here's another example of Watchtarded reasoning that proves to be utterly foolish. On the jw.org FAQ entitled "Do Jehovah's Witnesses believe in Creationism" we find this:

"No. Jehovah’s Witnesses do believe that God created everything. But we do not agree with creationism. Why not? Because a number of creationist ideas actually conflict with the Bible."

To see how screwy that logic is let's apply it to other scenarios:

    "Are Jehovah's Witnesses theists?
No. Jehovah's Witnesses do believe in God. But we are not theists. Why not? Because a number of theistic ideas actually conflict with the Bible."

    "Are dogs animals?
No. Dogs do feed, move, grow and reproduce. But they are not animals. Why not? Because a number of animals have characteristics that actually conflict with how dogs live. For example a number of animals breathe underwater; others fly. Dogs do not perform these feats. Therefore dogs are not animals."

ADCMS, aren't you forgetting Dr. Sod Omee? I hear he's good too. But don't let his name confuse you with another doctor, a urologist, who does digital prostate exams - his name is Fingayu Sodommi.

    Island Man-

I did forget about Dr. Sod Omee.

I heard he left the profession...he was the butt of too many jokes. He joined the air force and is now a tailgunner.
