I would say:
Don't hide behind words; I have read your words and they are slick, smooth, they don't tell the truth.
If you love me, think of the burden you put on my children by bad-mouthing college, by df'ing lustfilled teenagers, by forbidding blood transfusions.
If you love me, prove it by telling the truth, not trying to prop up 'the Truth'.

Yea, but is conditional love. Translate what they say to "show me the money." They love the flock only to the extent that they benefit from the flock. The flock sacrafices - the GB gains the benefits of the sacrafice. Who would't love that?
