NOAH, The Movie

The movie picture industry should never be looked to or lauded as a "presenter" or "repository" of the things of The Most High.

They are in to the money making business and accuracy and truth are almost never a priority.

I remember as a child watching Cecil B. DeMille's "The Ten Commandments" starring the Charleston Heston who played Moses. As a child, it was a wonderous movie full of color, action and drama. Once I became an adult and read from the Bible, I came to know that the movie did not "jive" with what was writtien in Scripture. Additionally, the primary actors were White people made up "poorly" to look like Egyptians and Hebrews.

There has been a rash of movies since then that have come out that depicts the characters we read about in the Bible in the likeness of the man of European descent. This includes Adam, Eve, Angels, Jesus, Moses, Noah, The Prophets, The Apostles, etc.

This is not surprising to me as the leadership within all of the religious denominations within Christendom - to include the WTBTS - are White men. This "white image" is even reflected in the publications and imposed upon people of color within the WT. For example, a Black person within the WTBTS is really being transformed into a pliable and controllable "Blaxson" that is, a Black Anglo Saxon.

The transformation of Blacks - and other people of color - within the organization is a subtle one. It is the only way the organization "feels comfortable" with its Black membership, if it knows that the Blacks within her think like the White power structure that has taken them captive. I know this very well as a former JW of 30 years (disassociated).

Personally, I never get excited or view any new "Bible" movie that comes out. I know they never tell the truth. They are all a part of a larger scheme to mislead the world into believing that God and His interests are "White." The Watch Tower organization along with Christendom are willing players in presenting these false images. Where there are false portrayals, there is falsehood. Falsehood is the opposite of truth.

Jennifer Connelly is going to be typecast if she keeps getting roles where she is married to a crazy Russell Crowe. Just sayin'...

If you view it just as a Hollywood movie - it was "ok".

If you wanted any shred of historical accuracy or even for the story to make sense (!) then it was a letdown.

    I didnt expect muich.

    I wasnt disappointed.
