Service Meeting Adjustment w/c 1st September

    Probably nothing of major note but there is an adjustment to the service meeting of w/c 1st September to allow for a 15 min local needs the society have asked the elders to deliver. This is in UK and I've no idea if it affects other regions.

    If it's UK only then I suspect it's either specifically about donations or more likely the status of the new branch facility, asking for volunteers/money. Given that the elder delivering it in our hall is prominent on the local RBC then I suspect the latter.

    It will probably be something like this:

    "Dear brothers and sisters.....as we know, the time is fast approaching for our loving god to rashly and harshly kill every living being...even young babies at the happifying day of armageddon. No doubt we are all keenly awaiting this joyous time!"

    "However, as sincere christians, we are all obviously asking "what will become of our monetary assets at this momentous time? For as we know, Isaiah prophesied that money will be 'thrown into the streets' as it will be of little value then"

    "also as bible students will be aware, ' the love of money is a dangerous thing', so keeping money should be strictly avoided by individuals within gods organization who wish to have divine favour"

    "The governing body has therefore made arrangements to allow all those associated with the congregations to donate every last cent or pence we all individually have NOW to gods organization. This will therefore free each memeber up from any burden or guilt of holding satans money in their possesion at the great day of god the almighty"

    "No doubt we will be keen to follow the leadings of gods spirit and act promptly on this wise direction coming through the faithful slave class!"

    "we take this oportunity to send our warm love and greetings to all you dear suckers out there...blah blah...."

    If they promise that money will be of no value and hound for donations, then get ready--to spend that money that will soon be thrown on the streets on silver. Do not donate anything to the washtowel. You are better off to buy silver, and if it's only small amounts, dimes and quarters are relatively easy to find and afford. You keep the silver.

    That way, when the time comes and hyperinflation destroys the dollar, you will at least have something to tide you until something else comes. Instead of having nothing, you will have a few days or weeks before having to barter or find work that pays in silver or gold.

Holding back your "valuable things" will only delay your hoped-for destruction of all humankind- the wicked, disgusting, filthy world- you know, everyone who is not a Jehovah's Witness™. Due to a shortage of 95# hailstones, Jehovah™ has been forced to acquire the necessary hailstones for Armageddon at great cost. Please give generously.

    Finally, as a reminder, please remember that the Governing Body is the Faithful Slave.
