About Living Forever.... It wouldn't work.

What are we talking about when we say "living forever"? 1000 years, 10,000 years, 100,000 years, million, billion. The problem is we can not even think what it would be like to live even 1000 years. This planet is just a sub-atomic particle compared to the rest of the universe when it comes to size. So what does that make us? Really nothing. This is all wishful thinking. I agree to what some have said "enjoy life that you have now, do what you can do to make life better for others and will as yourself, be happy and show love to all". This idea of living forever is all just a dream. Now if all could live to 100 years of age with no health problems and able to take care of yourself. Now that would be worth working for instead of living a dream. Still Totally ADD

Of course it will work. There is nothing you or ANYONE can do about it. Your CONSCIOUS soul is eternal. It was created that way to fellowship with its eternal Creator. Imagine a best case scenario of being bored in "outer darkness" forever.

Facing this reality FORCES us to deal with HIM.

Eventually atoms decay into atoms with less mass... the universe xpands.... Dark Energy rips apart everything.... So much for living forever

No matter what we think of it, we have the life we have and need to make the most of our short time.

On the "what if" side, if living forever meant even losing the vague memories that are not constantly renewed (somehow- perhaps by writing or viewing photos/videos of important events from thousands or millions of years in our own past), I would think that would make living forever more interesting. After you have done virtually "everything" several times, you can do it all over again and it would still seem fresh.
