JW.org to be regarded as fulfillment of the signs of the last days.

I struggled as a JW to accept that the good news of the kingdom was ever going to be preached in all the inhabited world by JWs, as there were many parts of the world with few to no JWs. There are not enough to cover the 3 billion plus people in Asia to allow everyone to get a chance to hear the message. It also was offensive to me that Jehovah would kill those billions that had never had a chance to accept the Watchtower message. In the past, I was told that Angels would draw the sheeplike to his people, but even that was hardly possible in countries like India.

I have no doubt that the GB will start using their website as a way to overcome these objections. They can now say that the internet is accessible to virtually every person in the entire inhabited world. When sheeplike ones in areas that have no access to JWs search for truth they will find jw.org. Angels will direct a person's google search to go directly to the page that will teach them about Jehovah and save their life.

It is such an easy way for JWs to say they have now fulfilled prophecy. Obviously that reasoning is wrong, as most people will never look at jw.org, and a cursory glance will have absolutely zero affect on what someone believes, but I can see it being a powerful tool in satifying JWs that question their global relevance to Mat 24:14.

I had the opportunity to use this special campaign month to share jwfacts.com with my grandmother. Now she will be better equipped to handle discussions with my parents. She has zero interest in reading the propaganda at JW.org and neither do most people.

If JW.org effortlessly spreads the message to the corners of the earth where there are few, if any JWs, will that send the message to the rank and file Witnesses that door-to-door work is passe? It is hard enough to motivate publishers anyway; the focus on the global reach of JW.org will inadvertently discourage many Witnesses from putting their all into the drudgery of hammering doors. I say, watch the downward trend get more pronounced as each year passes and JW.org takes hold.

Up to now, very, very few Jdubs have had very little success getting to first base with the householder when it comes to entroducing them to www.jw.org in their ministry via an ipad or smart phone at the door. And that doesn't surprise me!

When you think about it Jdubs have always had very little success placing the Watchtower and Awake magazines in the door to door work. Why should they be any more successful sharing WT's website with householders.

Currently the printing of the public editions of the Watchtower and Awake average 45,000,000 each. Do the math: Each month 90 million public WT and Awake are printed. There are 8 million + publishers. So automatically 16,000,000 (8 million WTs & 8 million Awakes) of Watchtowers and Awake are placed with the JW population for their personal study (yah right). Maybe another 16,000,000 (8 million WTs and 8 million Awakes) are placed with family members and studies. That leaves about 58,000,000 million of Watchtowers and Awake as monthly waste and collecting dust if not at the Kingdom Halls-then at Jdub's homes.

So if placement of the Watchtower and Awake magazine over the years in the ministry is any indication, JWs are doomed to fail in having any success with WT's sacred new tool.... www.jw.org!

The only thing we can be certain of is they will grasp at anything and claim it to be fulfillment of last days prophecy.

I can see some zealots claiming that Jehovah in fact earmarked the internet for the pupose you mentioned.

Millions of people live , sorry , exist , in third world countrys , in poverty , and many of those countrys are ravaged by war and tribal conflicts and certainly do not have access to the internet , so I do not see how any " witness" could make such a claim.

smiddy, you are thinking in a rational, logical way. Stop it ! you know JW.org, sorry Jehoober doesn't want you to do that !

I think the proposition made in the O.P is spot on, and could be a major motivation for the W.T's promotion of the website.

The R&F are probably already saying it, and they will believe, as the Internet becomes available to most on the Planet, that those who do not listen to the "wonderful spiritual truths" found this week on JW.org, or even the different ones found next week, those people have a "bad heart".

Years ago they used to claim two things. One was what they called "Community Responsibilty", which basically meant that if they could not knock on all doors it was the fault of the community, or their Government.

The other thing they claimed was that Jesus words about "you will not complete the circuit of the cities of Israel before the Son of Man arrives" (Matt 10 v 23) showed they would not get to every corner of the Globe.

I argued with an Elder that Jesus words about " ...in the whole inhabited earth for a witness...." were unequivocal, the Elders response ? "So you know better than the Faithfull Slave do you ?", what a typical JW "answer", Ad Hominem, no answer at all.

Yes, the wonderful "unique" website will be hailed as fulfilling both those scriptures, defying reason and logic, smiddy.

But, but the Internet is the tool of the devil!

A google search will reveal more websites that debunk the watchtower than support it.

... The gloomy logical conclusion to Matthew 24:14 is "... And then The end will come"

If the prophecy is fulfilled by jw.org , then The only thing to look forward to is "the end", Armaggedon. When it becomes obvious that the "good news", by means of The website, have reached "all inhabited earth", and the wait for the "big A" becomes awkward, I wonder if The JW's will either start interpreting The nature of the Armaggedon differently, or will they be tempted to cause an Armaggedon themselves, to vindicate their apocalyptic vision.
