Maybe the purpose is that you cannot copy from the jw.org website and then post that information elsewhere, so that no trace of evidence is left when the GB re-writes some of the past published information that gets edited because of some "new light" .... thus making "apostate" claims harder to prove.

What do they mean by by saying... ?
you may not:
Use this website for any purposes related to marketing.
Maybe this is the sort of thing the Watch Tower Society is trying to stop...

The above link should bounce you through a server in France and a local random IP address, then to a stripped back version of JW.ORG and the download page for the November issue of The Watchtower magazine.
I think they are also targeting everyone who is producing apps, and selling them or getting revenue from ads; these guys are traceable.
But if a random user downloads a pdf publication and picks some quotes and/or small screenshots, they can’t do anything since this is considered fair usage especially if it is sourced. This is common practice everywhere.
I think everyone should start suing them for using other people quoted without properly sourcing them in their publications!

Ok. . . . so enforcing legal minutiae regarding downloading "intellectual property" is more important than spreading the message of gods kingdom earth wide?
Funny this should appear right after the "big campaign" ends.
Hmmmm. . . looking of the lds website and Vatican website, I don't see any such disclaimer. . .
. . . . it must be a sign the witnesses have the Truth!
"The truth" is only for the few people they allow

DOES IT MEAN THAT WE CAN'T QUOTE PORTIONS OF THE TEXT OF JW.ORG ?
WHAT ABOUT FAIR USE?
Obviously, Watchtower is run by attorneys.
Perhaps it is their way of incorporating Rev 22:19 to their intellectual property.
It is God's Organization after all, and He isn't one te be mocked, so, I suppose we could expect His website to have warnings about punishment for misusing it.
Isn't it strange that they will happily use the legal entities and courts of this "wicked world" to prove their point or fight their case.
Yet these self same legal courts will also be fought against when they choose as well?
Hypocrites!
