Dear bobcat and leaving_quietly:
I understand the sense of futility you have experienced and in no wise would downplay what you have expressed.
There are so many variables that affect whether or not the point made (comments at the WT study) sticks in the hearers' minds and, subsequently, roots in their hearts. After all, many of us have had our own faith shattered, not only in our particular religious faith -- that of Jehovah's Witnesses -- but also in the truthfulness and reliability of the Bible itself.
There's no expectation on my part of some great awakening or epiphany for those I talk to, either personally or by comments at meeting. I love these people and what I learned as an elder, pioneer and Bethelite could serve some beneficial purpose, however remote. That, of course, in combination with my knowledge of TTATT.
I am an inveterate optimist.
Blessings and peace.
