So, if this were true, it means that an inocent muslim, who born in "the wrong" country, will be burned in hell, at worse, or will not resurrect at best.

Whatever happened to the truth of the matter, not forgetting the evidence.

When it concerns the ' jesus 'enigma its almost non existant, of course if you just want to believe it, where is the basis for ' justification '

If El is Jehovah that jibes with the bible, they talk about a council of Gods in genesis and Jehoavah el is the

top God the creator.

Everyone who decended from Adam and Eve, everyone in my thinking at this time would have known of

El or Yahwah/Jehovah.

If everything does not go back to Adam and Eves sin. Then Jesus and the ransome does not make sense, I agree.

That is why.

If one believes in the bible it is necessary to believe in a young earth.

The bible says you have to study these things daily.

I can see that.

In this day and age you have to know what you believe because some one is always ready to knowingly

or unknowinly snatch it from you.

And when you know longer believe in the bible Adam and Eve, Jesus as God and ransome,

You have nothing.

How else can you describe an atheist but lost.

You live, you die thats it.

I live, I die, I can do whatever I want, just like an atheist.

I even know everything that an atheist knows.

I have all their books and access to all their speeches and articles on the internet.

But in the end I keep living in a life even better than this one.

And in the end the atheist is lost.

I spent a carerr in law, I was a court reporter and a deputy sheriff.

I have witnessed many tirals civil and criminal.

Very seldom are things black and white.

That is why there is often a jury.

And a jury decides things often right at the fulcrum.

I cant see any advantage to do away with them.

And I do admit if there was no Adam and Eve we are lost.

People who study the bible know that the earth must be young for it to work.

Christians to me are people who believe and follow Jesus.

it has nothing to do with what country you were born in what your parents believed.

My mother was a Jehovahs witness that is not a Christian religion.

I am a Christian because I believe and follow Jesus.

Just because people go to war and call themselves Christians.

does not make them Christians.

I am a not very evangelical Christian ( though I am not sure really what that term means , except to be equated with fundamentalism ) . I do believe that the Bible in the original manuscripts is inerrant , problems with seeming contradictions and inaccuracies came with wrong translation . I believe that science is the way in which we make sense of Creation ( the world ) around us . Indeed some early scientists were inspired by the Bible to look into the world around them . Jgnat I am not sure what you mean by the term you used and am intrigued to know why it upsets you .

I would like to reccomend a site run by a group called Biologos , a Christian group who try to bridge the gap between fundamentalists and atheists . Also the writings of a lady called Alison Morgan an intelligent , well educated Christian (yes they do exist ) especially her book "The Word On The Wind " in which she talks about science and faith . If any atheists on the site could bring themselves to read this book in particular I think that they might find a different Christianity than the one many seem to think is the only way to believe .

Mixing and matching with Christian belief,when the premis and definition is at source is a cop out to suit ones individual needs.

Seems some people actually require delusion.

I am atheist, I am free of the shackles of theism/ deism I have no feeling of being ' lost ' on the contrary my lifes journey started and will end as all before me.how I choose to fill that interim will be down to me NOT some superstitious non..sense.

We know now that the heavens we see, are ~ 3 times OLDER than the universe, the beginning? and from there it is downhill except for 2or 3 coincidental matches with the not-so-obvious sciences?

Show me the evidence of Jesus being God/son of God. Show me the evidence God exists. I have not seen any proof, therefore I will not believe.
