People may persecute jws and make up stories about them or exaggerate shameful acts that do occur in jw camp. But we expect this kinda treatment. We will rise in spite of it.

I don't believe Jesus was talking about self inflicted persecution. Since the Catholics are enduring far more persecution and scrutiny than the Watchtower is today, does that make the Watchtowers claim on persecution stste that now the Catholics are the true religion?

Personally, I hope that all changes on Wednesday morning. I am not hoping for the total destruction of the Watchtower, just for people to open their eyes and see they are not the God based organization they claim and are little more than an arrogant and opportunistic printing corporation who manipulate the masses for their own personal wealth.

Enjoy your Memorial Day, non. Many fought and died for your freedoms so you could make all the ludicrous claims you doi in support of a printing company and gave you the right to hate them for it.

If persecution is a sign of being in the "real truth" then I suggest ex-jws are in the real truth.

I don't think there are any more persecuted people in the US than ex-jws. And, that persecution is practiced BY Jehovah's Witnesses. Your statement (above) about making up stories about them, and exaggerating, fits exactly what the Jehovah's Witnesses do to ex-jws. AND that persecution is SPONSORED by the Watchtower Society and also practiced by the WT Society. Something was once said about "the pot calling the kettle black"

Excellent point Dakota. Did you feel that I was persecuting you during our discussions about God? I hope not, nor did I feel persecuted. The difference with JWs is that as soon anyone speaks critical of the Watchtower printing & real estate Co that is when they scream persecution!!!

What? Talk about taking someone's sattement out of context. Non worships Jehovah God and Him alone. Non cannot believe you would misrepresent so blatantly. Is former President Clinton any relation to you?

Non only cries foul when people lie about the Christian congregation and show hatred for God and his name. Non does not have a problem with legitimate criticisms of God's people.

Not at all, Will. We just have different views and personally, I think God is big enough to allow for differing views. After all, He rads hearts and knows how we have been taught and possibly misled by all religious views throughout history.

Personally, I still think the entire key to Christianity is found in Jesus' words at John 13:34, 35. People can disagree and still care about each other, can they not? Besides, how boring would life be if we all believed exactly the same?

You are falling victim to the WT stereotype of ANY ONE who is not a JW and esp. anyone who used to be one.

Most of us know & love the family & friends yoked by the WT. That would include you non, could you say that about us? It is the yoke that is despised. We know what Jesus said about that, but what did jehovah say?
