  While these idiots think beheading innocent aid workers journalists who have the welfare of the people at heart in these circumstances and then butchering them in such a barbaric manner is going to swing public opinion in their favour is beyond me .

  If their is ever a reason to go on the ground including going into Syria to rid this pox off the face of the earth this is the last straw and needs to be done now.

  No more now pussyfooting around with barbaric medieval murderes , go in and annhillilate the bastards. In the air on the ground and whatever it takes.

  On the other hand I do see this will cause more abuse / attacks on everyday muslims trying to go about their everyday business .

  This is human nature , it doesnt justify it , but it explains it.

  Which doesnt help anybody , nor alleviate the problem.

  The governments around the world whoever they may be need to bite the bullet here , this type of activity can destabilise the world and needs to be contained.

  No government anywhere in the world no matter what idealogy can tolerate this sort of action against civillians.

  What is the the United Nations doing about these murderous people ? Isnt it a test of the ability and the worth of the UN to do anything ?

  Shouldnt it be a UN co-allition that is targeting these murderous bastards and not having the USA taking the brunt of all the critisciscm ?

  I think ISIS has passed off the whole world including the Muslim nations. The problem is trying to find all these bastards. They need to be eliminated. But then there are hundreds of other terrorist groups who will fill the void. It'll never stop. Islam is like a virus.

  I think you should feel free to speak your mind as long as it's objective and logical.

  Personally, I think Islam was spawned by the Devil himself and, like a nasty virus, it has been aided in its spread here, in the West, by the greed and non-chalance of Western leaders who have, through the years, preferred Arab dollars to the security of their own citizens. Think TROJAN HORSE !

  I hate to say it, and I know it won't go down well with non-Christians on this forum, but the West, in its "sophistication" has turned its back on the very religion that supplied the values on which Western societies are built. Islam and its Jihadists seek to take the world back to the Stone Age ! In England, churches are being converted into flats and pubs. There is a palpable rejection of the Christian faith and you could even say, a growing contempt for Christianity !

  Anyone would think that this contempt for religion extends to Islam, but, oh no , it doesn't. Is that from fear of Muslim reprisals or a numbing from an overdose of Arab oil and dollars? The muslims here have spotted this inconsistency and it is a situation that plays right into the hands of Islam and those Muslims who only accept to co-exist with "infidels" where Jihad has failed ! Christianity is steadily being edged out of the West. There is a vacuum arising from this trend and Islam is swiftly moving in to "fill" the void left by Christianity. Muslims are happy to buy Churches and convert them to centres for all sorts of Islamic activities. It is victory to them on many levels. This is the next best thing to an all-out Jihadi conquest of the West.

  There is an old church, slap bang in the middle of Leicester City centre which now houses a mini cab office with a section dedicated as a place of worship for the Muslim drivers ! This is not Islamophobia. It is a simple fact that vacuum does not exist in nature or human culture and since the West has spurned what is arguably its own religion, Islam has been released to unleash its values on the West...capture the West and the rest of the world falls !

  I am very concerned and, guess what, I am not even European ! Yet, it hurts me to my bone to see how the current wave of unsustainable ultra-liberal ideas have replaced common sense and the West has now left itself deeply vulnerable to those who seek to destroy it. The only way to stop the threat posed by this dangerous religion is a return to common sense. To all those would-be Jihadists and their sympathisers, if you don't like Western values, please pack up and relocate to Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, where you can live forever in paradise on Earth! Few things can be more tasking than fighting the enemy within !

  It could have unintended consequences - some Muslims might begin to question their whole religion. On the other hand, most Christians I know just ignore the awkward bits of the bible and don't feel that the actions of the Ku Klux Klan, for example, have anything to do with their religion.

  Ignorant people don't really have long-range strategy.

  People without the power to reason turn to violence.

  Ignorant, superstitious, violent and unscrupulous persons are very ineffective at accomplishing anything requiring planning.

  Since 9-11 2001, the opportunities for launching hundreds (if not thousands) of effective plots against America have gone TOTALLY FLAT.

  Why?

  These people cannot make a plan and carry it out effectively because they are intellectual insects.

  Exactly how effective is cutting off the head of some hapless person posing no threat?

  It is mindless mayhem indicative of morons who are frustrated and narrow.

  In the ancient world, it was the uneducated who turned to superstition. Superstition led to Religion as a means of self-empowerment.

  If only that were true, the problem of ISIS and Muslim fundamentalism would be over in about a year from now. The reason this murder wouldn't change a thing in the Islamic world is simple. It is quite similar to the pretentious teaching by the JW that a bad JW is better than the nicest person outside the BORG - a concept I always struggled with while I was in. Following the same logic, most Muslims, including the "moderates" happen to believe that the worst Muslim is better than the best "infidel". This is what makes even the so-called moderate a dangerous element !

  Some of these Jihadists from the West are known in their communities for who they are and what they represent and would eventually return to Europe and America. (Yes, even they cannot resist the lure of the West !) I would bet you £20 (yes, it's all I can afford) if you find them being turned in by their respective communities upon their return !

  It is also for this reason that the war against ISIS will be lost. Once the heat is turned on them, they will break up and disappear into the surrounding communities where they would be protected from any Western-led investigation, by the very ones who had been crying out for Western help !

  My take on this whole situation is simple. Don't get involved in ground battles...keep all support aerial and there would be no Western trophy for the Jihadists to parade and gloat over. You would think that after all these years of meddling in Arab affairs, the one thing that Western governments should have learned is that non-Muslims cannot bring peace to that part of the world ! Any intervention by a non-Muslim only serves to unite the warring factions for attacks against the West. It is alright for ISIS to rape and slaughter thousands of fellow Muslims but if a misguided Western bomb kills an innocent Muslim, you can picture the song and dance that would soon follow, ochestrated by the "do-gooders" from the West and rehashed across the Muslim world as motivational speech for recruiting Jihadists !

  That is true as the KKK cannot find any verse in the Bible to support their evil practices which are purely doctrinal, and therein lies the big difference between Christianity and Islam. Islamic extremists often quote freely from the Quran to support their barbarism !
